Was all excited about Jay-Q, only to discover you add comments yet not view comments. Oh well. The hunt for a Twhirl equivalent continues.

    Is that a new windows app, Jay-Q? Or a judge on next top model?

    Windows app. Last updated August 2007. I was prepared to overlook that if it allowed me to view and reply to comments but alas, it doesn't. If this keeps up, over the winter holidays I just might have to try and learn what the API is all about and see if AIR is as easy to build with as 'they' say it is.

    Jay-Q tells you how many comments are attached to a Jaiku and lets you leave comments on other Jaikus. Alas it is missing the vital part of the conersation - reading the comments. {sigh}

    Seems like they missed one of the significant points about Jaiku.

    That's what I thought. All Windows Jaiku apps/widgets I have tried miss this. I'm wondering if this is an API issue or a Windows programmer issue.

    Given I'm seeing and replying to all comments here, in Juhu, I don't think it's an API thing.

    That's what I suspected. The hunt continues. I really don't want to have to learn all about APIs and programming if I don't have to but I can't understand why there does not appear to be any Windows apps that can do this.

    I should say 'extending my somewhat limited knowledge of programming when I could be playing around with The Boy'

    Unfortunatley it too often comes down to such life things, doesn't it. Even to the point of saying to yourself "If I buy a Mac, I can do this, this and this, and then I will have more time with the boy". Of course, if you buy a Mac, you will find many things that need to be done with your new, more, efficient computer that mean you still have no more time with the boy,

    The key is to "unschedule" (google to clarirfy), not to buy efficiency. (But if you want a Mac, you won't be disappointed!).

    Oh, I don't want to 'buy' efficiency. I want to remove Windows troubleshooting from my life (although I have less problems with my Vista laptop than I ever did with my Windows 2000 and then XP desktop).

    I won't be disappointed, I'm sure. All good things come to those who wait a really, really long time while building up massively unreal expectations :)
